Do you know for sure they are not forced to do it?
You would think as a minimum club members would get free entry to AO.

Is there a particular reason Port have chosen the Carlton game to celebrate 150 years?

How can they be forced?
(No I don't know if they are or not)

Yep. North v Power Reserves before Carlton v Power. Yipee.
At least the Powers crowd figure will be higher than usual for the day.
You saying alot of North fans are Power supporters?

1. I feel I should be entitled to enter on my SAFC membership which includes away games. I normally attend the South vs crows and port games because it brings out extra competitiveness in me and I enjoy that.
2. A run on Adelaide Oval is never a bad thing for the team. Practice for finals (hopefully).
3. It does however stink of AFL interference. Is this happening before or after the mid season draft? If it’s before it would be easy scouting for AFL teams. If it’s after, no big deal.
4. I don’t think the location should impact the result. The crows will either have a stacked team impossible to beat anywhere or a team full of top ups which should be easy money for South. Although on occasion the crows do have an evenly balanced team but I don’t think this happens too often for some reason.
5. I sure hope this was an offer tabled to South and that we were free to accept or decline the invitation and conditions.

Yes. Most clubs would have a state based scout, my uncle was one for Freo when they first entered.

Well then I suppose I’m for it if:
1. South agreed to it (which reports say yes)
2. I can get in to the game with my SAFC membership. I would be more than willing to have a security guard escort me around the ground and ensure I leave before the AFL game starts.

The players will relish the opportunity but the supporters may be out of pocket. Can't see them offering discounts.

South Adelaide is expected to be Adelaide’s opponent, with the club willing to sacrifice one of its home games at Noarlunga to play in front of a big crowd at Adelaide Oval."
I wonder why SA would be willing to give up a home game to play there. It makes no sense unless there is a financial inducement and if yes is it the SANFL who pay it.

Solves a lot of issues and you may get a bigger crowd hang around rather than turn up 3 hours before
