If you're realistic with the value then you can make it work.

I value mine at $20k. It's insured for $25k. The XE is $23k sell price, I imagine they paid $18k for it. Give or take.

So I figured mine at $18-20k ( they'd ask $25k on the floor ) and $20-22k for the XE ( still means $2000+ profit for them I feel ) means it's pretty much swap for swap, maybe I cough up $2k. Then I pay shipping of one here, they pay shipping of one there, they turn their stock over ( the XE has been there for a while ) and it's a fairly clean deal.

They valued mine at $16k, so shipping, the difference between the two ( they still want the $23k for the XE ) and I give them $10k.

I hate cars, but have had to sell 2 this year, it breeds the worst in people IMO, nothing fair or reasonable about 95% of people looking to buy/sell cars.

Agreed, the 2nd hand buy/sell market is a minefield.

Daughter: what’s that? *pointing just above my top lip!
Me: moustache.
Daughter: doesn’t look like one
Me: daddy can’t grow them
Daughter: I can see that!
Then laughs out loud  ! Quick reminder my daughter is 7 and I am not sure if I am proud or terrified at her ability to be this quick to hand out pay outs.

A dirty and illegal takeaway outlet operating at the back of a Thai massage parlour in Keswick has been ordered to shut down by food safety inspectors.

West Torrens Council inspectors entered the property of Bodyfirm Natural on Croydon Rd last week after a complaint from a neighbour and found a grotty kitchen used to cook food for a takeaway business.

At the front of the property, rooms have been converted to massage therapy areas, and the address is listed on an adult classifieds website with photographs of Thai women.

The takeaway outlet – which has no dining shopfront or advertising at its address – is listed on Uber Eats as Ruean Thai Cuisine.

Ruean Thai Cuisine previously operated as a restaurant in North Adelaide.

It is believed to have been operating from the Keswick property for about six months.

There is no development approval to run either a massage parlour or a commercial kitchen from the property, which is classified as a home.

The shutdown order came after nearby residents found their bins filled with commercial quantities of rubbish, including tins of coconut cream, boxes of noodles and large egg cartons.

One Uber Eats delivery driver reportedly refused to wait inside the building for an order because the stench was too much to handle.

West Torrens acting chief executive Angelo Catinari said the council was in the process of winding up the outlet under the Food Act.

He said the massage parlour would be “further investigated” and possibly reported to police.

A nearby property owner, who asked not to be named, said she became aware of the operation after a delivery driver asked her husband for directions.

“(The driver) was told there’s no restaurant in the street and he showed my husband the address,” the woman said.

“That’s when my husband tweaked that’s where all the crap (in the bins) was coming from.

“It’s not good to mix a (massage parlour) with food.”

Cr John Woodward, who had received complaints from locals, said it was “disappointing to see such a flagrant disregard for planning laws and local residents”.

The Advertiser attempted to contact Bodyfirm Natural but received no response.

Uber Eats has been contacted for comment.
