A-League 2019-20

Postby RB » Thu Aug 08, 2019 1:07 pm

The draw was released this morning. An uneven draw, the first in the A-League, sees United play Sydney, the Victory and the Jets twice at home, and the Roar, Mariners and Melbourne City twice away:

Hearing that James Troisi is coming home. If we can grab a half decent mid I think we can be around the mark

Have absolutely played the Victory off the park in the first half but only have a 1-0 lead to show for it

Adelaide look dangerous and are only gaining confidence. Melbourne right now look absolutely terrible. Kurz will be gone soon if he doesn’t get some ground in coming weeks.

You won a couple of weeks ago.
I wish I had some money on you, United were favourites despite having a stack of injuries. Really close season so far with most sides only an injury or two away from each other apart from Sydney

Wowwee!

Haven't beaten the Victory in 7 years, 2-1 down 93 mins in and score penalties in the 94th and 100th minute to win!
Victory coach got sent off, fights were hapoening, never seen anything like that last ten minutes in my life!

Great stuff Mariners!

Maybe he will be coaching us again soon...

Victory's list is garbage though. Last year they had Honda, Barbarouses, Troisi and Valeri and still only finished 3rd. They replaced those guys with Robbie Kruse. I'd be highly surprised if Kurz's replacement gets anything more out of them.

Sounds like they've just recruited Rojas, that should help.

Hard to get a gauge on the reds so far this season. Everyone seems to be playing for 2nd at the moment. Hopefully we can get a few wins over this next stretch with a favourable draw. Hopefully can keep fit as well, Mauk signing helps a lot if anyone goes down

Will take the win as I thought we were outplayed tonight and the Mariners were stiff not to get something out of it.
Cracker by Blackwood but great to see the 15yo seal it

Agree CCM dominated. Really they should have scored a few themselves!

Both the Toure’s have serious X-Factor and there is also a 3rd one. I’ve watched **** all of the A-League this year, however when I do and these 2 play at a different level when the ball is in their area compared to the rest of the league. Could only imagine what they could do if they had it served on a platter in a decent league for a decent side in Europe....
