Just noticed that the Digital Pass is covering all games at all levels this season (League, Reserves, Under 18's and Under 16's). As a teacher with a number of former students (and current ones during school holidays) involved at various levels, this will be a great way of keeping in touch with how they are going.
Cheers

I'm watching the 16's game at the moment and its a blurry mess...is the coverage going to be the same as last year when the real stuff starts?

So can you only watch it on a laptop for a decent picture? Last year i could watch it on the big screen and it was okay

Not sure. I only use laptop. Might be internet speed??? Any at 3/4 time Eags 53 Sturt 39. Good standard for U16. These teams would kill an AFLW team possibly not allowing it to score.

The worse thing I am seeing is the guy working the abacus with the scores. going backwards and forwards. Better using his fingers to count. :D

Caught a bit of the Centrals u16’s game as I know a few lads there and I don’t know if Glenelg will be the benchmark or not but the Dogs were shocking skill wise and a mile off the pace. Glenelg were well drilled and it was like chalk and cheese

At the risk of getting carried away... found myself wondering what impact the corona virus and potential lock out of AFL Games might have on the SANFL. Let’s say there was a national ban on public gatherings of, I dunno, let’s say 5-10 K. The SANFL games might fall under the criteria and could see a resurgence of interest as local AFL fans were starved of action...I’ve personally been sceptical of the media frenzy.. but when professional sports in Europe start to play in empty stadiums its probably time to take it a bit more serious.

I have been thinking the same and you are not getting carried away. Yes the media is for sure.

I dont see how a number cap works however for a people gathering as its very subjective. But I agree if there is a magical number , then that may help some crowds I guess.

Interesting thoughts, Hazy. Yes, if there is a 'floor' imposed on crowds and gatherings then, depending on the length of such a ban, it could translate into an increase in interest in the local product.

Some sports are starting to play with caps of 1000.
They might limit spectators to people with season/home tickets.

Yeah France have reduce their 'public gathering' rule to 1000.

The SANFL would still probably be safe if it got reduced to that number anyway. :D
