They're not getting any younger either.. what's the long term value of pursing any of them?

Couldn’t agree more Bedge. Garner x2 and Webber played up here on York’s back about 4 years ago for Paskeville and lasted 3 games and since then they would have been to about 4 different clubs for not many games between then.

Isn’t Steve Garner banned for life for threatening an umpire?

Yep that's why I've never bothered to sign them and especially when you get a phone call each year saying pay me this much and I'll play lol. As I said still pretty handy at this level but not the kind of blokes you would build a team or club around

Yeah about 10 years ago lol. Pretty confident he'd be allowed back as I know a couple the last few years that have been let back in for doing a lot worse

Absolutely.

Honestly cant believe how clubs could still justify paying any of those blokes despite how good at footy they are.

Give me the absolute shits when you see clubs get given government funded grant money and then go and pay blokes like that who just club hop each year with their own sponsors money.

It’s contentious - their scoreboard showed a 3pt win their way but our bench tallied two goals our way that they didn’t. The scoreboard wasn’t a focus for us though so it doesn’t really matter, win or loss we’ve come away reasonably happy that our structures stacked up pretty well against a side two divisions higher, most pleasing of all was that the energy and drive came from our youngest players.

And with cricket finals and weddings thrown in the result didn't matter.

Exactly, and guys taking off for the long weekend. We had 5-7 first choice not play, I can only imagine EP were similar.

A lot of good mates playing against each other too would've decreased the intensity, nevertheless it would've been a good opportunity to brush the cobwebs off.

Who are the couple and what did they do that's a lot worse than threatening an umpire?

Went down to United Friday night and all i can say is there in for a very long season ahead, spoke with the garners as i seen them on the sidelines and they mentioned that they were staying at ep so obviously united lose out on a couple of players which may have made them abit stronger. I also ventured out to Salisbury west where Brahma lodge played Maisons as i had seen enough at United.

personally i think Brahma lodge will have a good year but i don’t think they will walk through div 7 a very young side quick but a lot of mistakes were made & more experienced sides will take advantage of that, Mawson were all over them until the 3rd and final quarter where brahma kicked a couple of quick goals. Also on that game I think Mawsons will surprise a couple in div6 I don’t think they will be any walk over.

Mawson Lakes will do alright in div6 defensively strong will Suprise a few, Bramha lodge had most of the ball but coughed the pill up with turn overs at times but never the less they were the better team in my opinion of the 3 quarters and kicked away in the 3rd likely would have been a 10 goal win if it was a full game?
