Will the players run through a banner tonight? If so who will hold said banner?

Reckon NSW will be closing it’s border after tonight’s meeting ScoMo said was happening. He all but said there will be localised lockdowns

Wouldn’t think the season could ahead if that was the case.

Makes you question even more why they would bother playing round 1.

Even work travel has to be for ‘necessary’ work not sure sport would come under that

With NSW and Victoria looking at shutting down all non-essential businesses and Victoria looking at closing schools on Tuesday, footy is in the same boat, it is non-essential work.

Enjoy your last three games of footy until June.

Sco Mo indicated at the press conference that the AFL and NRL may be exempt but wasn't real clear.

Should've just based all teams in Melb and play every game in Vic. No one in or out of the state.

Could the AFL change next week's fixtures to minimise interstate travel?
1 game in Queensland, SA and WA and 5 games in Victoria.
Not sure where they go the following week though.

I mean if we can get the AFL and NRL players isolated in there home state and make use of chartered flights, then I guess it is possible or to keep it going.

Still is it really essential though?
