[quote="Corona Man"]For those of us working from home:

1. How are you finding it?
Enjoying it even though my makeshift desk is a little cramped, enjoyed no tuck and no shoes. Eating alot more though

2. Would you prefer to be in your normal environment with your colleagues?
Prefer to be at work where I need to go into the workshop at times, internet is better at work, I do like not working with my immediate colleagues though.
3. Is it really slow today (Mon March 23rd), or about normal?
Normal day, pretty busy. Found myself doing more as there's nobody at home telling me to go home
4. Are you managing to fit other things into your day?
Breakfast, dishes, washing, might start taking the dog for a quick walk around the block at lunch

Like you I feel very fortunate that I can work from home

If WiFi boosters work?

Seeing a few dropouts whilst working from home. The modem is 16m away from my workspace but I don't want to disrupt the household by moving closer to it. Anyone got one, good gadget or gimmick?

It depends.
Is reception better near the modem?
If it’s not there’s no point.

If it is the booster should help.

YES!

We have a long house. Modem is in the garage next to the NBN box.

The lounge TV and outdoor TV are both at the opposite end of the house. The lounge TV struggled to load Stan and Netflix sometimes and the outdoor TV didn't even receive a wifi signal.

I put a $99 booster about 2/3 of the way down the house from the modem and it fixed everything.

Get yourself a dongle to watch your porn mate.
Won’t effect the family then.

Sounds a bit like my scenario, so assuming you have one that plugs into a power outlet, not sure if there is any other kind.

After some research, I wanted to buy the same as Ambers but discovered no one had them.

I went to a computer shop at Kent Town and the guy there said they had a cheaper one (same brand) as it only did one channel and not two. Told me if it didn;t work bring it back for a refund and wait for the other to become available.

Bought it for $52, installed it last night and everything works better.

As an aside, he said they had never been busier with everyone working from home.
