Just got off a pretty rough phone call with my Mum.

At 77 she's feeling like she's having a year taken away from her and at that age time is a precious commodity, "There's less ahead of me than there is behind me and I'm having some of it taken away. I should be living, I should be loving my children, my grand children, I can't even see them" she said.

I heard this alot from our older gym membership base. Especially when they started to discuss the consequences of them not being able to complete their prescribed programs and what consequences that would have for their functional movement in their later years.

Which is somewhat why in Clare we are seeing all the golden oldies still out and about whilst most of the younger generations are isolating.

6 new cases in SA over night. Expect that to spike again when the Barossa cluster testing becomes available.

$1500 per fortnight to employers in a "Job keeper" package to help employers keep people employed so the transition back into the work force is easier and obviously eases the load on the Centrelink system.

22 was yesterday

IF we keep it to minimal/zero, the way it’s heading (fingers crossed) and the borders stay shut as a state are we able to reopen shops, sport etc?

Thats the one my work place has been waiting for.

Now at least we can do some concrete sums and determine the outcome for our small staff team.

My feeling is they need to now make testing available to anyone who presents with symptoms, rather than strictly to those who have been identified through contact tracing.

Maybe after all currently identified cases have recovered, no longer test positive and we have no new cases for a sustained period, do we then look at slowly relaxing some restrictions.

And keep the borders closed!

Not for some time as yet, must remember only those showing significant signs are being tested, the CMO said in her conference lets take a breath and see what transpires over the next few days, least being out and about working this morning things seemed as though the message had finally got through

Is that really our long term solution?
Trace and isolate all existing cases internally, and have a permanent 14 quarantine for any international traveller forever?

Surely that's not sustainable and instead the only real way to "beat" the virus is to develop a treatment/vaccine or everyone catches it?

Correct. And if we remain in lockdown for a long time, a lot of people die.
No good solution to this unfortunately.

Is it true they're allowing social gatherings of 10 again and have scrapped the 2 person rule in SA?
So you've seen everything have you?
