If there's irrefutable proof then fry him and anyone else guilty of such heinous crimes, but if there isn't, how can ya hang someone for it?

And that's the rub for the majority of criminal cases - it often boils down to a 'he said-she said' scenario in which no-one else knows what really happened.

From the prosecution's point of view, it's like trying to do a jigsaw where they know they don't have all the pieces, but they hope there's enough to convince the jury that what they've got is the same as the picture on the box. In this case, the other witnesses at the church provided what was sufficient to count as reasonable doubt. In other words, the High Court thought there was some important jigsaw pieces missing.

After reading the High Court's decision, I'm amazed his conviction wasn't overturned in the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Yep i wonder how many people that are up in arms today over the decision have read this. Guilty until proven innocent seems to be the way of the world today,

Agree, as his lawyer said, Pell's offences were just a "plain vanilla sexual penetration case where the child is not actively participating"

Certainly can't argue that bloke is not a dick. Came with the usual public apology the day after: "I hope my apology is accepted as sincerely as it is meant and I will never repeat such carelessness in my choice of words which might offend."
I apologise.

Speaking of, I really feel for those wonderful places that rely on tourism, we're slightly annoyed with changes here but those poor buggers must be feeling it big time. The way they're suffering gives me the shits.

Our last Thailand trip we met a ripping bloke, Nata, worked behind the pool bar. Got to know him really well.

He was the only worker in the family of 6, he got about $36US a week, his whole family lived on that. I doubt he'd be getting anything now. :(

Australia Post.
I know they’re busy because of Easter and everything else happening right now but how hard is it to deliver parcels from Melbourne to Adelaide
in a timely manner?
Been waiting over 2 weeks now and the tracking app just says it’s been delayed.
No shit Sherlock but when will I get my parcels.

Yeah the missus had been waiting on a chair for 2 weeks. She rang them up and they said "oh, its here reaedy for delivery", got it in a couple of hours. God knows how long it had been sitting there or how long it would continue to sit there if she didn't ring.

Ordering through Catch I don’t think you get a choice of courier.
They are by far the worse in my experience as well.
