Good leaders and players want to be in those moments, take the responsibility - and frankly he's one of the best long range kicks for goal in the comp IMO - he probably hits 8/10 of those.

On another note, pretty ordinary of Port fans ragging on Frampton and his game.. let the bloke be.

Right decision but awesome to see him miss.

He kicks the goal he’s the hero...........
Unfortunately for him and the team he missed.

Stengle suspended for 4 matches by the club for his DUI incident.

He'll donate $2500 to charity and undergo a road safety education program.

Anything on top of his legal punishment is over the top.
Dickhead act by a young man. Hopefully, he'll learn his lesson.
The fact we hold footballers up as role models leaves me dumbfounded.

Legal punishment? He'll get 12 month loss of licence tops.

The law should come down harder on first time offenders.

If you got caught drink driving first of all no one except for you and your friends/family would know.

ANY footballer gets caught and its spread all over the press, and every impressionable mind hears about it and sees it...that's why the clubs are tough on it no doubt directed to be from the league.

If you're going to get back big bucks to play football, it's a small price to pay to not f..king drink and drive and if you do, you're going to cop it from your club.

I disagree. Education (e.g. road safety education) is more important, especially for first-time offenders.

I didn't say just fines or jail ( although I think the fine should be larger than what it is ) and yes, education should be an important part of the process.

Mind you, I think that education should happen when you're going through the Learners process and then before you get your P's.

Probably “only” fined $2500 rather than the normal $5000 as they are not currently earning money

Does your boss fine you when you do something illegal such as being caught DUI?
This is a fine on top of what he will get from the courts, its a huge penalty compared to the rest of society. As for role model, what rubbish, only 4000 of the Crows fans would know who he is.

A bloke I work with got busted doing 130 in an 80 zone, immediate loss of license for 3 months.

The guy is our technical sales rep, is on the road every day. The boss was fairly pi55ed, however worked out a way to get around it. Travelled with other reps (myself included) even went over to NZ to run some customer training sessions. That was easy, just a taxi to & from the hotel everyday. Used up a good part of his annual leave as well.

The kicker though, was when he finally got his license back, due to Covid-19, we are all working from home, and not seeing customers!
