Allegedly after the accident.

Being police fatalities I think there will be some time before anything is released to the public as to what happened.

One of the deceased had just joined the force.
Their 2nd day on the job apparently.

Anyone read that?
Not sure if it was print media or social media so not sure if true?

Yeah it mentions it in there:

Three male officers - including one in his first week in the job - and a female senior constable who were standing in the emergency lane on the side of the freeway were killed when the out-of-control truck veered into the group.

Our over 50’s Vic team was skippered by a traffic cop close to those tragically killed in the line of duty last night. So proud that all the lads in the team have pulled together to support our skip in our own ways, but as a group making a donation to the blue ribbon charity to show our support to the boys in blue. Bloody fantastic!

Original cop car was unmarked, not sure if it would have had lights or not.

The series of events started by taking drugs is horrendous, couldn't make that up.

In court, police allege Porsche driver Richard Pusey filmed Leading Snr Const Lynette Taylor as she was pinned between his car and the truck groaning. Instead of helping he said “all I wanted to do was go home and eat my sushi and now you have f***ed my f***ing car.”

See they are saying it could take several days before they might be able to interview the truck driver.

It's a very bizarre set of circumstances.
