Has anybody had their dog desexed recently? I have a male border collie and need an idea on price (northeast Adelaide area).

I’ve been quoted to get my border collie desexed & have his third lot of shots around $500

Cheers. I just rang 'Adelaide Desexing Clinic' and they quoted $265 if he's under 20kg.

I checked with another vet that and they quoted me $265 just then too.

If you've got 4 amps feeding in it might take up to 24 hours to fully charge. You battery will probably be 40-80Ah so @ 4 amps / hour anywhere from 10-24 hours.

Im going to leave it 12 hours then turn it off as I don’t want it charging overnight.

You should be right with 12 hours @ 4 amps, you'll certainly get it started with that tomorrow morning and if you have a drive to work the alternator should charge it fully.

My son bought his 1st car today, now feeling really old...anyway what have others done as far as insurance goes for kids?

We have just done 3rd party at the moment, car is only just under $4k, would cost over $1k pa for full comprehensive insurance, I cant see the value in doing that. We are going to get him to save the difference (about $50 pm) to self insure to a degree.

My 17 year old daughter wanted to self insure, we suggested putting the car in mine or her mum's name for insurance purposes but she wouldn't have a bar of it, she's too independant.

She asked me on the weekend if she can move to Melbourne for a year once she finishes Year 12 as she's been offered a good job that she wants to fulfill as a gap year before starting uni.

I can't see her coming back for uni once she gets a taste of the money she will potentially be earning.

My understanding is it will be treated as normal income tax unless a redundancy or termination has occured. An increase in percentage depends if it puts you into the next tax bracket. The most you'll pay is 45% if that given pay period times the amont of pay periods per year equates to over $180000 per annum. Go to pay calculator and add the Gross total of LSL to your normal wage and pay cycle.
