I would like to think that as a country, we are already thinking about hiw to try and reduce our reliance for China.

Now they trying to scare those that trade to china.

There's an increasing number of small businesses that deal with China, mine included. The panic in my suppliers communication since CNY has been palpable, factories going bust all over the place (they have millions of factories so it's probably something PRC aren't too fussed on just yet).

My manufacturing base has now officially shifted to Pakistan - this was our plan anyway, it's just been escalated. Lots of people I speak to regularly are dong similar.

But interestingly there's a significant number of people who are determined to ride it out as they see China as only becoming a cheaper place to manufacture with a better level of service due to all of this.

They are becoming quite expensive actually.

Customer in NZ yesterday told me all their suppliers had raised prices 10-15%, and asked if we were doing the same..... I said no, but thanks for the idea!
