At the moment, this is the number that interests me the most.. once that reaches single figures then zero i'll get more excited.

I dont get the fascination with the active cases, surely these 14 people are locked up at home and pose absolutely no threat to anyone. Now 8 days without a case and we are still locked down. Its quite clear and has been for a long time that there is very little community spread, most cases were introduced by foreigners amongst themselves.
I think now its the just the government seeing how long they can keep all the sheep locked up before there is mutiny.
The media campaign is now moving into 2nd and 3rd wave and Flu season as i predicted about 3 weeks ago.
Time to catch up with a few people and get on the cans i reckon

Sadly you can already see those who are either benefitting from this, or are enjoying it in some sick way are starting to turn their attention and talk to around controlling the common flu in particular the media.

We have never used lockdown measures to control the flu, and we shouldn’t even be entertaining that concept. This was purely about covid-19

Media starting to run out of scaremongering stories so they need to think of something else to crap on about.

After our last death on 12/4 the remaining 6 ICU cases have now all made it out with no-one now in ICU, got to be very proud of our health system.

I've realised something through this pain in the arse virus!

We really are the lucky country.
Blessed that we live on a big island.

The way we've handled this crisis makes me feel proud of our country and most of the people.
Our health system, while still has issues, has handled it pretty well.

Both the government and opposition have made the right calls mostly at the right time.
Thank f#ck I'm an Aussie!

I’ve been taking notice of world figures daily in terms of numbers contracted, deaths and recoveries.
Paid particular attention to those countries with whom I deal with and have customers in.

Pakistan in all sorts.
Sri Lanka coping ok all things considered.
Bangladesh having been there and seen the sheer humanity and understanding the lack of infrastructure.... I really feel for them. They have little to no hope of controlling this. Social distancing is just not possible. I’ve never been so “jostled” in my life at airports, or even in the street. The cases there have doubled from about 3,000 to over 7,000 now in just a week.

We’ve done a fantastic job in Australia.
1961, 1971, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015.... And don't you forget it!
