Hopefully all good news
Still keep hearing that July 1st is the date and that there will be strict restrictions in place. Wonder if that will be brought forward now?

I think we are going to go outside the Federal Government due time our lack of cases
July 11th 2012....

Sounds encouraging.
Wonder what restrictions will be put on pubs and clubs and will be interesting if SA’s rules are a tad lighter than what other states have to deal with

Early June start would make sense as by then fingers crossed we would be well beyond the 28 days since last infection.
Most amateur clubs and their players should be working towards a june start and keeping themselves fit and ready to go.
It is not necessary to have 4-5 weeks training prior at community footy level as even during a normal season plenty of blokes turn up 2 weeks prior to the season run a couple of laps and put their name up to play.

Seems to be an understanding that the AFL will be the first competition to get up and running and all comps below will have to follow.

I'm fortunate enough to have some imbecile facebook friends to keep me in the loop to what the Government should be doing.

I'm no expert on infectious diseases so I'll just do my bit for society, I want to be in the pub and and out on the footy field as much as the next bloke, but I only want one restriction period.

If it wasn't for sports I wouldn't be on FB - wish there was a way you could be in the groups you needed without actually being on FB haha

Wow, my brother and I were saying the same thing last night as I've deleted a few units lately, I usually just hide them from my timeline but I thought "f*** it, you're too stupid to talk to me".

What is going to happen if people get sick but it turns out just to be a normal cold/flu during the June, July, etc period? Are you going to have to miss 2 games as you take the recommend 14 days to recuperate. Obviously going into Winter more people will get more Cold's, etc so i am interested to see how that will be handled.

Test result turnaround is pretty quick now isn't it? If you're feeling sick, be encouraged to get a test and then when you get the result go back to business as usual.

If you're sick you should be staying home anyway really, no one wants some snotty person around sneezing all over them.
