Raise a murky glass tonight for the old boy, ouzo and coke will do it.

Why pollute that aniseedy goodness with sugary bubblewater?

Wasn't a fan of him in Seinfeld, infact, watching Seinfeld nowadays has me bewildered to think how I liked it in the first place.

Loved him in "King of Queens" though, had a pretty good innings.

Kramer makes the show.

Jerry is like Raymond, just a continual droning whinger, George is funny only because he whinges so potently about minor issues and Elaine is a lot like Jerry.

There's some funny episodes and parts but watching it 20 years later I can't seem to laugh at the same shit.

The George shrinkage episode probably rates as my favourite, along with Kramer swimming in the East River.

People who don't get Seinfeld, generally speaking don't 'get' comedy I've realised.

Simple terms. Jerry is a comedian. In the show he's the straight guy and leaves the laughs to the others. For us mere mortals, he does the dad jokes and leaves the real laughs to everyone else generally at his expense.

I've got mates who don't like Seinfeld and whenever they say something 'odd' to us that do like Seinfeld we always snigger and say "remember he doesn't like Seinfeld".

There is an 'in crowd' and an 'out crowd'. Those that don't like Seinfeld are the out crowd. Hence we look upon them as lesser humans. That's because they are.

But that's ok. Each to his own. Us that get it, just know and hence we look despondently upon those that don't understand Seinfeld.

Peace.

Fred Willard, a regular funnyman in many of Christopher Guest's comedies, has passed away at the age of 86. RIP.

Here's a highlight of his work, a personal fave of mine.
