Interesting, I take that last dot point as if you are a Silver Member or something equivalent like that you will start again if you terminate & potentially loose rights for grand final ballots etc. Good way to try keep people on.

Not sure that's fair and reasonable, to be honest. Give people the chance to cancel 2020 but you have to sign up for 2021 before the 2020 Grand Final. At least they know you're back on board.

Me, point one works fine.

Agree point four is real harsh for those in genuine financial hardship from the Coronavirus.

Im not sure the AFL has come out of the coronavirus issue well with the fans. At best you would give them a 'C' in my opinion

Not sure why it took 2 months to come up with some common sense decisions.

In fairness they were probably waiting to see how much of the season was lost before committing to X amount of credit on memberships.

Now that job keepers is here as well they would be hoping its enough people arent demanding for a refund, compared to when everyone was first losing their jobs with no pay etc.

Think ours is the same but if you choose to stay on you will will rewarded in some way. The club is calling members this week and a couple of options are to receive a free upgrade on your membership level next year if possible or some sort of merchandise such as a signed guernsey

Lets be honest the AFL and its clubs sole focus would have been to limit how many memberships were fully refunded.

What i think they did was completely ignore the early (panic) stations when most people would have opted for a refund with the uncertainty that was around. Keeping in mind at that point no one saw things getting better until September at least.

Now the dust has settled somewhat i believe a much higher percentage wont ask for a refund now that they either have job keepers or can see themselves returning to work in the very near future.

Time was the AFL's best friend to limit the amount of fully refunded memberships.

Wait, what?

Port Adelaide has revealed its membership options for 2020, while the Crows are set to unveil theirs on Thursday.
Yet, Crows members wanting to opt out of the monthly payment must do so by COB Wednesday.

Opt out five minutes before the game ends to beat the traffic? ;)

Difference I guess is Adelaide have a waiting list to become a member/ticket holder whereas Port doesn’t so less will be inclined to opt out and go onto the waiting list

Difference i guess is that Adelaide have a long list of loyal supporters who sign up every year, year on year whereas Port supports are fickle and only attracted to new and or successful things and will opt out in a second if there is a chance the teams not going well.

Agreed, but a bit shitty for Beryl and Derek from West Lakes Shore who have been rusted on since 1991 and for one year pass up on their ticket because of a pandemic and they can't drive the Camry into the car park to sit next to Margaret and Stan from Life Care Rosslyn Park in 2021.

Fair call, once you work out what your franking credits get you on top of your pension every year it's easy to commit to one outing a week. ;)

True but at least Trevor from Tennyson will be able to wear his best flannelette shirt and blue wife beater combo and afford to buy Alan from Alberton a West End Draught at Adelaide Oval even though he will still try to bum a smoke off a bloke at the train station. If not he will pick up a butt off the ground in 2021
