There's no point in me having one for the sake of it and not getting the best out of it.

I used to place them randomly throughout the heat beads in the chimney, now I scrunch 4 into some newspaper to put under the chimney for the same result, probably better as it's a less aggressive burn to begin with.

You’d easily get away with 2 firelighters both broken in half .

You like to live dangerously?

I used to use half a bloody packet.

Those Redhead one's I posted are rippers, firelighters and matches all in one. Put two on the ground ( I put them on an old paver ), strike one on the box and light all three, chimney on top.

Apple Pies

An extensive recipe, so please please bear with me folks.

Ingredients

Puff pastry
Can of Apple Pie mixture

Cut circles for base and top

Place bases on the KMart Pie Maker 4 spaces available.
Fill with apple mixture
Add cinnamon.

Place the top circles.

With leftover pastry roll up into silly shapes to place on top of pie.

Close the lid.

8-10mins.

Bingo.

Them K-Mart pie makers are the bomb, we often just chuck our in leftovers with some gravy and make pies out of them or just make flavoured pies for the fun of it.

So far the biggest hits:
Taco seasoning pies
Thai Green Chicken Curry
Satay chicken

Any leftover pasta dishes do the trick too.

Eat leftover bits of pastry.

Hmmm, I am the master of them.

I soak 4 or 5 slices of bread then wring them out, break them up and place in my mixture, adding grated cheese, carrot and onion along the way, two eggs, a bit worcestershire and bbq sauce, superb.

Having something to cook them in to keep their shape and speed the process up would make life easier.

Not sure if its going to make much of a difference but im aiming to have the coals at a heat that would be 250 degree Celsius if i had the lid on. At least that way i will have some form of ball park figure for timing purposes in the future.
