So after yesterday's announcements, the SANFL could start playing (without spectators) from June 5? Will they take advantage and start the weekend before the AFL kicks of?

i think there is zero chance of that happening
only 2 weeks away and SANFL teams have only been training for 1 week with no contact.
1 more week without contact, 2 weeks with contact (still with some restrictions)
June 20th start date

Spot on my friend .

You would think that by the end of May it will be close to five WEEKS with only one case of the WU HU FLU IN SA.

We have flattened the curve killed it and faarked it and then some.

So if you think logically we should be opening up on the 1 st of June.

FOOTY FOOTY FOOTY PLEASE lift these restrictions every one has had enough

If that's the case they may as well cancel the season.

Why? That will only take us through to mid October with 14 rounds, with finals we’ll be done early November.

Maybe only 1 round might happen if we start then. Some clubs may not have grounds to play on after September . GF would not be at AO. November temps may be very high for GF unless night final.

I wonder how much more of this we will see before the season starts whilst there is doubt over the VFL and no Crows/Power reserves?

Interesting article here from last week about the VFL, including the fear that the SANFL would start poaching players:
