Correct nothing wrong with healthy debate and opinions.

Opinions are like ARSEHOLES every one has got one does not make them wrong or right.

What I don't like is when some one has a different point of view and the majority do not like it and try to silence them with inane ism's.

They try to ridicule and stifle the debate by demonising the person without finding out more about the TOPIC by using all sorts of clichés to end the debate.

Some jump into an debate because they read a headline or they heard from some one then go with the herd and sheep mentality without seeing the other side of the story.

I am probably guilty of name calling by using the terms Snowflakes Softcocks Bed Wetters and Sheep in some cases warranted.

We live in an era where lots of people just go with the flow so not to upset the apple cart.

If we stifle debate and freedom of speech we will und up like Germany of 1930s" and like todays Communist China and Russia.

Do we want that ??????

Anyway carry on happy debating.

Peoples.
I agree with you and I'm generally interested in your opinion on the matter. And one of the massive issues we have in our society is that stifling of debate. Whether it be via social media, online forums or even just been shouted down in a public debate, the problem of trying to silence different opinions and viewpoints is a massive.

Trump is a massive wildcard, he could honest build the American economy and create WW3 in the same week.

I think the C19 pandemic ha really opened the US election at the end of the year right up.

Had to catch up on numerous pages this morning

How’s the C-19 thingy going? :D

On Tuesday I dropped into a mates restaurant to see how he is doing with his takeaway
We couldn’t have a beer there because he would have been fined $5,500! Like WTF! We could have gone back to one of our places and got smashed on a 24 hour bender but have a beer in a restaurant? :drinkers: :Hangman:
Makes a mockery of the RSA
PC Stevens goes on TV and looks delighted that there’s no drinking allowed.
WTF is going on? Are we going back to the 6 o’clock swill?

Zero cases. What are they waiting for or afraid of? So, I rang someone who would know. Apparently the 2nd wave!
Huh? Zero cases. Borders shut. How long are you going to wait for this imaginary event? And how smart is this virus! Flies straight past Coles, Woolies, OTR & Bunnings and heads straight for the pubs and restaurants. No wonder PC Stevens wants them kept shut forever!

It’s time to stop listening to SA Health (with their impeccable reputation) and academics and open businesses back up before there’s anymore damage.

Maybe my phone rant worked because someone finally made a decision on Friday night. Didn’t go the full hog but it’s a start.

Keep the borders shut. Glen-20 everyone and anything coming into the state. But open the state up for business FFS Marshall!

But when we call for a fast & hard lockdown, you have to expect a degree of caution to a relaxation of it.

45% of 200 million tweets about the coronavirus (probably from fake accounts) were designed to sow disinformation amongst intellectually lazy, fringe dwelling, anti-science conspiracy theorists:

The stats say

439 Cases in SA
4 Deaths in SA

95 to 97 % of citizens who get the WU HU FLU generally get mild symptoms and recover.

Its only oldies like me who are in danger and will have to continue with social distancing.

As I have said in previous posts at the end of May it will be 5 or so weeks in SA with only one case.

This bullshit of 10 in 10 out at Pubs absolute garbage not viable for establishments.

Have ya been to ya local supermarket the last 3 weeks people around like flies.

So how many cases have we had in the last 3 weeks 1 yeah FAAARKK ALL.

So get the FOOTY started and open up the FAARKEN state.

However still keep the borders closed until all other states are in a ZERO position.

The longer this goes on the job losses bankruptcies mental health suicides etc etc will continue to snowball.

People have had enough.

We all now live in an era of BEDWETTER/POLITICIANS spineless gutless jellyfish.

So long as he downed a few ice cold, frothy glasses of disinfectant at the 19th, that's all that matters.
