We understand that players, supporters and parents may be saddened by this outcome but this decision was made with a view of ensuring what was the best for our club and wider community and in addition to ensuring appropriate support for our older volunteers, without whom our club simply would not exist.

We remain committed to our junior development and will be looking to run our junior and mini sides in The 2020 season.

The Presidents media release was spot on and the decision made was made after numerous conversations with all stake holders from the Noarlunga Football Club . As for the comments regarding $ I will give you a FACT , at the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic the senior playing group approached the club and ALL offered no payment if that was an issue going forward .

We wish all other clubs the best for the 2020 season and WE will see you in 2021 .

If you are going to make comments make sure they are accurate !

No agreements were made by clubs at the last league meeting just a discussion what a season would look like and a starting date and finish.

What was put on the table was all clubs to have nominations to the SFL by the 19/6/2020 .

"Health safety and welfare of the junior programme not an issue then? Just the senior side of the club is affected!

What's with the negative feeling towards the league SB? Senior Players bagging the SFL online... Not sure what else you expected them to do? Maybe you wanted them to cancel the whole season because you knew you were struggling?

I dont know where you get an idea we have an issue with SFL ? I cant comment for players as comments made are not reflective of the NFC .

As for my personal opinion on the whole football community within the state the SANFL including the community football league has been a circus where decisions made have pitted club against club league against league player against player and community's against administration's in a time where most volunteer time and time again .

Dont forget the decision makers have a fat cat mentality where they have a vested interest to look after themselves without making decisions for the betterment of football within the state . Remeber the HUB 10 AND 15 cash grab same decision makers ! Review and restructure of SANFL???? This is my opinion and not reflective of NFC.

So there is a difference in the health, safety and welfare between the senior side of the $$$$$hoe$$$$$ to the junior side of volunteers the only difference is the juniors don't get paid

My opinion is that it is a strong decision that Noarlunga have taken. Is it the right decision, time will tell but at least they have had the fortitude to make this decision despite the obvious vitriol that would come there way. I commend Mark Anderson and NFC for doing so.

To claim that Noarlunga is a club without culture is also ridiculous.

The Adelaide Plains League is going ahead but they have just lost last years 1st and 3rd place getters. So you are all being a bit harsh on the Shoes. The strong clubs tend to have long term committee and volunteers in place and I can get that the energy and motivation to kickstart the club after a 12 week shutdown is a real struggle for many clubs. A lot of leagues that have shut the door on 2020 are using a fairly standard C19 excuse in media releases but I'm sure a key reason is just as much the strain on ageing administrators and volunteers to get themselves going after 12 weeks of uncertainty.
