We have three who won't be playing due to COVID. One works in a hospital, one is traide who needs the cashies on a Sat and one who was undecided about playing anyway.

no covid cases in south australia...the hospital worker are they preparing for the next wave....... ;)  or maybe other reasons for not playing on this year.....

With Round 1 less than 2 weeks away and recent changes with the Virus.
Who can we see emerging and staking a claim for a GF birth?

IN ORDER.

1 Lockleys - Have recruited well & seem to have maintained players through the Virus. Almost Unbeatable at this stage.

2 Eastern Park - Welcoming back a ton of good players. A few may be gone due to the virus. Still good enough.

3 Salisbury - Have added some talent from last season.

4 Pooraka - Have a new coach & have added some quality.

5 West Croydon - Should go well after strengthening their side from last year.

6 Kenilworth - Lost some class on every line. May have picked up a few that should keep them in touch with the top 5 - Maybe

7 Smithfield - Smithfield are always a chance could have 8 new players after round 2

8 Fitzroy - Haven’t heard much from Fitzroy

9 Rosewater. - Hopefully can keep their club on up this season with no setbacks.

Sorry I thought I added CLG.
My mistake.
CLG is in a similar boat to Fitzroy, I don’t have a whole heap of info.
To finish 8th/9th

nobody is unbeatable, if it bleeds you can kill it and we bleed..cancelled leagues have given all clubs a chance to improve their stocks..its a lot tighter than most realise..

CLG wont finish 10th, 9th or 8th imo..higher than that, respect the div 4 clubs coming down..

“If it bleeds, you can kill it.” That’s true. Just highly unlikely that’s all. :D

Some clubs have also “softened” due to Covid 19, maybe even widening the gap?
Some of the the main competitors to Lockleys have lost some players due to the pandemic.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, Salisbury have lost some experienced heads do to the Virus.
Kenilworth had a mass exodus at the end of last season, would have been a big competitor again this season but
now probably lack some genuine leg speed.
Eastern Park didn’t land 2 or 3 players that they probably thought they might land.

Pooraka has picked up a few very recently. Maybe they could be the early mover. ;)
