Cause the WA Premier holds the whole AFL competition in his hands as a bargaining chip.

I'd support an AFL hub in WA, excluding of course all the contaminated Victorian teams....

WA Premier says the Eagles and Dockers can isolate at home upon their return, they can train and play each other but need to do their 14 days of isolation.

Which means they could come to SA and play here, but we've already have played Ade/WC/Fre/Port matches.

But if the virus can take up to 14 days to show symptoms shouldn’t the other player in the pic not be allowed to play.

True but that is why I believe a deal had to have been struck

If the average punter in Blyth can see that image and put two and two together surely the health department saw that image.

DHHS aren’t doing any deals, they might be incompetent but I’d be surprised if they are corrupt.
They have seen all the footage and have cleared him. Stewart was his wrestling partner and had more than 15 minutes of close contact whilst the others were deemed clear.
Why would the AFL risk positive players infecting other teams and potentially shutting the whole comp down?

Does this make you somewhat sceptical about the validity of the test results we have seen throughout Australia.

I presume the average punter wouldn’t have got three days of testing in a row.

Interesting that this is one of the first high profile positives in the country and the test results are all over the shop.

The talk arouns the health world is that DHHS are completely full of idiots. They are so incompetent it's not funny.

The issues Victoria are having at the moment maybe due to population density but as it was said to me, they couldn't contract trace 2 members of the same family....in the same house.......
Yeah nah you'll be right.

So not corrupt, they may well stuff this up completely. Who knows.

Returns a negative test on Monday.

Negative.
Low level irregularities.
False positive.
Positive.

Nope because no test is perfect

As Booney reported it appears McKenna has been floating around the edge of negative/irregularities/positive for the past week..

The "positive" test reportedly indicated the case was only mild.

Given the low level of severity it is plausible given his natural fitness levels that he was positive on Saturday and now three days later he has no biochemical markers to say he has COVID-19.

What I'm 100% certain of is based on WHO figures, there are over 4 million cases world wide and over 400 000 deaths. Yep those figures arent 100% accurate fdue to measurement and testing error but try telling that to over 400 000 families.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Odd, I'm sure McKenna blew a heap of snot out of both nostrils and then shared a footy with 8 blokes.
Odd decision. Looks like only James Stewart and McKenna to miss the next fortnight

Why couldn't they adjust the frixture to have the Melb v Ess game tonight or tomorrow night then, with further adjustments to their Round 4 games if required? I thought a rolling fixture was something the AFL said they were prepared to have this season if needed to cater for Covid?

Whateley summed this up better than I did on 360 last night with actual amendments to the draw, makes no sense to my why the AFL haven’t done this.

The clubs need to realize this season isnt about integrity or fairness or any of those type of things its about playing 144 games.
No doubt both Ess and Melb didnt want to play tonight but stuff them, they shouldve been made to play. This game hanging over the heads has taken away a fair degree of flexibility from the program

Agreed. They should have programmed the Essendon-Melbourne match tonight, then this weekend's Essendon-Carlton match could be played on Monday night, then the following round as scheduled.

It's clear now that the AFL have no interest in a rolling fixture.

Yeah it was pretty simple, I would have thought the clubs would prefer playing with a short turnaround time at this time of year than later in the season when bodies are showing signs of distress.
