VAFA cancelled their season as of tonight

Football in Victoria is looking pretty stuffed at the moment
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Indeed it is, think the AFL is doomed as well.

The AFL isn’t doomed. They just need to get their arse out of Victoria. Play games at SANFL and WAFL ground if they have to.

Unfortunately grass roots level footy there is shot yes!

The AFL is so intent on keeping Victoria as the centre of the league that they would rather shut it down than have a GF in another city.
He's already on record saying Victorian clubs shouldn't have to hub in Adelaide or Perth because it would give the home club an advantage.
But he's quite happy for them to have to Melbourne or Geelong

Acknowledging it's been hard for everybody the SANFL and AdFL deserve a bit of credit for the fact that we're starting half a football season tomorrow that's going to be as normal as possible.

I'm sure every stakeholder has had moments of immense frustration but when you take the 40 000 feet view relative to most of the country and planet going to the footy tomorrow and seeing your mates is going to be fun.

Absolutely. There wouldn’t me many leagues in the entire country that have handled this situation better throughout It’s entirety to date than the Adelaide Footy League. Let’s hope we get the season filled without any interruptions.

Went down to an arch rival.

Losing still sucks. Having beers seeing and hearing from mates you haven't heard from in 9 months was great.

Any other year I'd be in a torrid mood. Right now I'm in the best mood I've been in in months
