Sweet geezus, I knew it would be a link to Pauline Hanson or Alan Jones even before I clicked on it.
If I relied on Alan Jones for what I thought was common sense I would never voice an opinion on anything anywhere ever again.

The biggest chuckle I get from Jones, Newman and Hanson supporters is their fear of being educated. What's with that?

I kind of agree with some aspects of what he said (god help me), the mainstream media has continued to blow this up and talk about it like the end of the world.. but at the same time they're keeping people informed, and they know that "scary" stuff attracts more viewers/readers etc so its good business for them to keep pumping it up.

I also think the media pushing it every day keeps it at the forefront of peoples minds to stop complacency creeping in, looking at Victoria over the past week or so, you can see how quickly this can escalate .

What I don't agree with AJ is using the stats to support his argument - whilst 99% might be mild, and a mortality rate of less than 1%, the reality is if we let this run wild we would overwhelm our hospitals and support and those figures would increase drastically.. and impact other areas.

I also hate how he and others bring other deaths into it.. like "but but smoking has killed dissa many people this year!" Just STFU!

Probably sick of hearing how uneducated they are because they don’t believe some of the shite coming out of the left.

Left and right, both serve up some shit, but if showing some compassion and understanding is the "shite coming out of the left" then what a horrible thing to expect.

Victoria are doing a truck load of testing ATM which helps explains their high numbers

Their positive test rate is still only 0.3%.

Testing, contact tracing, isolation protocols and education are what's going to control this virus until we get a viable vaccine.

To the tin foli sceptics numb nuts out there who think this adds to their conspiracy argument - grow a brain and tell that to the nine Victorian families who have relatives in ICU thanks to this virus.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
