At Murwillumbah today, trainer Matthew Dunn nearly trained the card, won the first five races and then the even money favourite in the last was beaten in a photo. Not a bad effort!

He's been training well and looking good, happy with the wider draw, obviously Howlowcanyougo is a worry being unbeaten 2nd up and with Pannell on board.

I must admit, being only a 4 year old he's still growing and it's always great to see how much he's filled out when resuming.

I'm not sure how much work Karl has done on him either, I'd say he's been riding him a fair bit seeing that he's mainly with the O'Connor stable, he's impressed me as a jockey so far.

We thought so considering it was a BM82, just lacked match fitness in the end, I was happy to beat the fave and Arkham Knight.

I'd be thinking a 3 week break before next run depending on how the weather goes in the interim.

Came out about $160 up on Saturday so I thought I'd chuck $30 in my account for Sunday to have a punt while I was waiting for my son's footy game to start, ended up turning that into $500 after a couple of crafty tri's, got the ole girl a flower bouquet as she was pretty down about losing her brother.

Got an email yesterday about a BB of mine running today. Wacked a lazy $10 on it, and thought yep I will flick the TV on at 2.30 and watch the race. Totally forgot about it, think I was in a zoom meeting at the time. Just checked, duly saluted and paid $5... I’ll take that!

Cash in the bottles & cans, borrow from the missus, raid the kids’ piggy banks, get an advance on your pay. I am all in here...
Tomorrow at the Sunshine Coast, race 4 no 10 - Red Doulton
Will take care of this lot. Forget last start, wasn’t run to suit. Back to Caloundra where she’s won before, loves the 1400, handles the going & Ronny Stewart back on board - tick, tick, tick, tick.
Currently $9 bet boosted & $2.70 the drum, waaaaay overs.

Just needed to settle a little handier and not leave it’s run for the last 100, something beaten.

Nice run, ride was ok. Having to switch hands with the whip was what proved costly in the end.
