Was a great game for the Eagles not a great first half second half fantastic .
Norwood were worried away from the ball way to easy
I did see Richard Douglas once Sinor stepped in front and took an easy Mark .
Eagles still need to improve but will
Any crowd numbers up yet ?

My team is worse than your team.

You only need to score 6 or 7 goals to win and just wait for us to turnover the ball 20 or 30 times that ought to give you 3 or 4 goals.
We like to kick across the goals, just wait and intercept and score easy goals.

I guarantee you will win. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that Norwood will win. It's just a matter of how much you want to win by.

Onya bike Cotton you tool.
Will be sending my membership back tomorrow and won’t be attending another game whilst that muppet is at the club

Gee , why would you do that ? That is a statement about your Board not the Coach.

Unavailable includes :
Gerloff
Johnson
Nunn
Bastinac
Wilson
Pedro

Injured today and off for remainder of match
Surman
Tahlia

Take nothing away from WWT who played well and deserved to win by 65 points
Im impressed with James Rowe the last 2 games- whatever happened to the father/son rule- he should be a redleg grrrrr
Rowe, is a very well balanced , cool, unflustered and quite brilliant player
Jacob Wehr looked very impressive , if he improves on today the AFL scouts might get interested

Well that was pathetic, can’t remember such a soulless performance in recent times. Players like Irra and Pinyon are not really up to SANFL standard and there isn’t much I saw in the reserves that paints a positive picture. The only player that put his hand up for selection was Pascoe and maybe Spence.

Definitely missed the run of Nunn, Wilson and Johnston, losing a few through injury didn’t help either. In saying that, we just didn’t turn up and have so many players out of form/unfit.

McKenzie and Rokahr were very good down back.

0-3 doesn’t leave us much room to build on. It’s seriously time we need to consider coaching changes. Players look disinterested, skills are terrible and the game-plan is awful.

Can see why Legs fans are unhappy with Cotton, the game plan was dysfunctional and didn't threaten the goals at all. Players weren't playing for each other and looked dispirited. Can't remember Norwood 0-3 for a while - maybe under that other dud of a coach Roberts.
Eagles are quicker by hand and foot this season and seem to have been given a licence to take the game on. Goldy BOG today and a cast of many supporting him. Early days but if that is the way we are going to play, it is going to be a better season than I imagined.

I reckon they lost at least the first four games under Bassett in 2010 before going on to make the GF.

Boy they had a dull playing style under Bassett but it certainly was effective, unlike Cotton it would seem.

RD3
2010
Woodville Oval
WT 8-9
NW 5-9

History repeats 10 years later NW 0-3 after losing to the Eagles
NW recovered and later beat WT in the Prelim Final
Who knows it might happen again in 2020 ...

NW were actually 0-4 , in Nathan Bassetts first season as NW coach

Norwood v Central, one side has to win unless it's a draw. There is hope for one of us.

it's been an even season so far; 7 matches out of the 12 have been decided by less than ten points, a record for the SANFL after Round 3 in both number and % of matches. I'd say no-one is a certainty to miss the four at this stage, especially Norwood. Even after todays (non) effort.

5 years later in Round 3, Norwood bettered their lowest score at Woodville from the above match - 3.14 (32)
Now, another 5 years later in Rd 3, Norwood did it again

RD16
1995
Woodville Oval

WWT 6-5 [41]
NW 31-13[199]

Is that the lowest WWT score against NW at the venue ?
Nostalgic day in that game number 14 for NW played his 300th game
