What's the next 6 months look like for Australia?

Are we just looking to get through the winter months before restoring some normality? I mean this virus is like any other, it's never going to completely disappear, surely we reach a point where we accept it as a potential risk like all other virus and go on with lives?

The whole thing about winter going to be worse for COVID was all bullshit, this disease has no "season". In fact this is happening in winter might be a blessing, its much easier to lockdown at the moment, can't imagine having to do it in the middle of summer.
