Its in the things that make laugh or maybe cry.

As i previously posted about we made an offer for a house for $400k. It doesn't appear as if that will get the deal done but that is fine because in the meantime we have have found the land and property of our dreams and it's only $300k up all.

Now for the kicker..........the land and house are across the road from one another and owned by two different people, currently priced at $150k each. The land is 1.5 hectares with full equestrian facilities (partner is a horse girl) and the house is a fully renovated 3 bedroom cottage on 2000sqm.

Because we are looking for a 80% loan and require LMI (due to the area being regional the bank wants a 70% loan) it looks like we wont get LMI to sign off on two separate smaller loans.

In essence we can get a house that we think is 'Ok' for $400k but wont get the money to get the house/land of our dreams for a total of $300k.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. The misses is gutted.

Always a grey area for these type of properties, dealt with a lot of them in the Hills when I was up there, but could get them done at 80% as we argued they were close to the city.

I presume they are OK to do the house at 80%? The land would have to be 70% though as Im guessing it is zoned rural.

Shoot me a PM if you want to discuss.

Yeah whilst we haven’t been rejected yet essentially the bank said they were happy to go ahead with this but are very concerned that they won’t get the LMI through.

Cant stop giggling thinking about the weekend at the footy.

Have a player in my side who came across from Ingle Farm - copped plenty of abuse Saturday from the crowd, but none better than being labelled a "Private School P**fter".

Whilst that comment is archaic and wrong on so many levels, it's funny because not only did the lad not attend Pulteney (or any other private school), but he actually didn't attend any school - he was home schooled!

Then to cap off the day, I had to explain to a Pulteney Old Scholar what a sack truck is!

Only those stuck in the 90's or don't have the intelligence to think of something more creative.
