This match started 7 seconds late
The ump bounced the ball to start the match , and it was recalled
The ump threw the ball in the air- by the time the ball was motioned in play 7 seconds had expired

Should the SANFL/AFL add time on for these instances ?

Can I get life time on for reading this?

7 seconds may not seen like a long time
Ive seen games when sides have scored in the last 7 seconds of quarters
Ive seen games when players shoot for goal on the quarter end siren and scores allowed or disallowed in close to a split second

The two timekeepers start their stopwatches the moment the umpire bounces the ball or throws the ball into the air to start the quarter.
The fact that the umpire recalled the bounce is irrelevant. The time started when the ball was first bounced.

The game does not cease until an umpire acknowledges the siren. The siren is only an indication that the playing time has been reached.
It is the umpire who starts and end the game. Not the siren.

West - $26
Centrals - $81

This cant be serious???

No way South are favourites!!

Disagree. On current form I think they’re clearly the best side.

A club that has not won a flag for 56 years can not be favourites, absolutely ridiculous!!

They must be otherwise you have to read it the other way and then Centrals are.

The only thing Central are favourites for is a winless season and the wooden spoon.

Any chance of them letting more than 1000 in for this weekend? Surely they’ve got it sorted by now?

How can more than 1000 people at an open ground where people take their own seats or stand be more dangerous than 25000 at a seated stadium where people have to catch public transport there, cross a bridge together, touch turnstiles to get in and then touch various seats to get to their seat?

My Mum was at Centrals yesterday, they said they hadn't heard anything yet, possibly this afternoon they might know more.

Exactly. I was at the Crows game on Monday night and people were seated every 2nd seat. So the row in front of me was 30cm on the outside of both knees and they didn’t open the top tiers of the Riverbank or Eastern Stands. Had nothing to do with safety and spreading people out, but everything to do with money making and red tape.

Would that include this weekend's matches (given there's already been an announcement on capacity), or from next weekend?

Either way, great news if it comes to pass.

South Adelaide have signed Paul Hunter (ex Crows Rookie 47 SANFL games). Hunter will be joined at South by Daly Andrews. Both were at Williamstown for this season until the VFL cancelled.

There are no clearance fee's for any interstate moves.

There are a large number of VFL players trying to find a home here.

SANFL crowd restrictions have just been lifted from tomorrow onwards.

All members from both home and way teams will be electronically admitted and non-members will be able to pay at the gate and fill out a contract tracing form.

Suspect there might be more of a focus on mature aged recruits in this years draft, due to no Victorian u18 comp recruiters may go with whoever can put some 2020 form on the board

Great news, excited to see how these two go.

I find that astonishing. It can not be that hard to put into place the recording of non bar coded tickets? A clipboard with a a line for name and telephone number is all that is required.
