Any data on the % of all tests that test positive, that would make more sense than a simple number of positive cases?
Or does that not suit the scare campaign narrative?

That's a good points, Vic have ramped up there testing quiet a bit. I believe the % of positive tests isn't overly high at the moment.

The test numbers are published when the results are out, there are a few good Twitter feeds that regularly update these numbers.

But of course all numbers are from the department of health in each state and you can't trust these numbers as it's all a hoax as it's not real and just a way that Bill Gates is suing the swabs to implant chip in us all.

Your figures there indicate that about 1% who contract the virus, die.

1% of Victoria, population approx. 5m is 50,000.

Again, going by your figures, this means that if the whole state contracts it - and given how contagious the virus is, and how it spread in other countries before we knew much about it or without adequate social distancing measures - it's fair to say it could spread to most Victorians without appropriate restrictions.

We can debate exactly what restrictions should be implemented, but the potential cost of inaction - again going on those figures - is tens of thousands of deaths, in Victoria alone.

Thankfully, the powers that be - on both sides of politics - have taken this threat seriously and ignored the shrill, ignorant, reactionary and in your case sarcastic whinges from the tin foil hat wearers and, notwithstanding a big stuff-up in Melbourne, seem to have helped prevent mass deaths across Australia.

So to expand the above out, if 1% will die, let’s say 5% will need to be admitted into an ICU, that’s what 250,000 beds needed. Hmmm perhaps slowing the spread down is a good idea?

Dont know how anyone can get 1% die from those figures.
Ill simplify it for you
71 deaths in Victoria from 1.5million tests is 0.0047%
Did MSM tell you it was 1%?

Ok let’s use 0.0047% and times it by 5,000,000 residents is 23,500 dead. So let’s say 3 times that many need to go to ICU that’s 70,500. Happy with that?

On a more serious note though he is right, his figures show 0.0047% That will die, that's not close to 1%.

1% would be a bad outcome but it's not near that.

Daisy has tried to pull a fast one with the maths, Stan.

His figures show that approx. 1% of Victoria will die if everyone contracts the virus:

"99.46% are negative
99.9953% don't die"

i.e. 0.54% test positive, and 0.0047% die (in total, not of those who test positive).

0.0047 / 0.54 = 0.87%. I rounded this up to 100.

In actual fact, the current deaths/contractions rate in Australia is about 1.03%. Worldwide it's closer to 4%, but the Australian figure is obviously more likely to apply were the whole state of Victoria to catch it.

And, without social distancing and other restrictions, i.e. were the virus to be left to spread without any measures to prevent it, you can be sure that a very high proportion of people will contract it.

When Daisy says that only 0.0047% of people die, he's correct - but that's precisely because 99.46% of tests are negative. Most people in Victoria haven't contracted the virus.

His own figures show that the death rate, of those who contract it, is just under 1%. If all of Victoria, for example, catches the virus, 1% of Victorians will die (going by Daisy's figures).

And as has been pointed out, the number of people in ICU if it were not contained would be far higher.

Spot on Daysy

I posted a similar post 2 weeks these are the latest figures i could find.

26,000,000 Population of Australia

8,000,000 WU HU FLU Tests
13,950 WU HU FLU Cases
145 Deaths

[b]Which means thus far 25,986,050 have not been infected

Do the percentages again peoples.

[b]In 2017 Australia had 221,853 Inflluenza A and B infections 1,255 people died

To date the WU HU FLU has not reached these levels thank god.

Still the sheep and goats can only see doom and gloom.

Re Victoria

Its the elderly that are dying as is happening in the Socialist Utopia of Victoria.

Ask Dopey Dan what aged care protocols and policies have been in place in aged care facilties in Vic over the last FOUR months.
Ask Dopey Dan why he did not take the advice of his experts to utilise the police and health officials to monitor people in quarantine.
Ask Dopey Dan about the BLM protest in Vic.

The deaths of the elderly lay squarely upon his shoulders.

Comrade Dan must be charged with murder.

I would go further depending on what stats and calculations we use the percentages get lower and lower.

Only one stat does not change that is the Elderly are at high risk as shown per stats from all over the world and they make up the majority of deaths

Thus far in Australia
13,950 WU HU FLU Cases in Australia
145 deaths

Which is close to 9%

But if you use this calculation

8,000,0000 Tests
145 Deaths

Or this Calculation

26,000,000 Population
145 Deaths

Work out the percentage very very low.

Sorry my mistake i missed a couple zero's. the actual figure was 0.000047%
Therefore it makes your figure 235 deaths per 5 million positive tests.
