Glenelg v Sturt SUNDAY 1410

Postby DOC » Tue Jul 28, 2020 10:06 am

Flag day at last? Hope our regular Glenelg posters on here get to the game and see it. Hope there is enough stout to go round. It is an effective barrier against Karens disease. AMB will be watching from Darwin with an item or two from that great victory.

This game deserves to be a sell out (capped at 3200?). Glenelg played a good last three quarters but were unable to bridge the gap last week against the league leaders.

Sturt were on fire early against Norwood but were put out after quarter time.

To me an even a and good contest awaits. Will watch this one live on my DP. Fourth spot awaits the winner.

I think the Bays will prevail here. Does a loss leave Sturt in a precarious position for the rest of the season?

GL16-14 [110]
ST 7-10 [52]

Im expecting the reigning premier to be angered after recent defeats
GL need a win firstly, and whatever % they can scrounge up

Interesting ladder
NW 3-3 51-61
GL 2-3 48-02
ST 2-3 44-86

This match in the context of who plays finals in 2020, has enough riding on it
The supporters of WT/NA/SA/NW might be wanting an excellent showing by ST today

My heart wants ST to win
My wallet wants GL to win [$1-52]

Should be a very even contest. Both teams capable of challenging with the best. Agreed that it will be tough for whoever loses to make the finals.

Glenelg get a good start and lead 3.3 to a rushed behind. Controlling the game but not putting it on the scoreboard.
