Gotta have a balance.

If you think the club is making selections based on what the media might say, what the fans might think and what trolls might say you're in a worse position than I thought.

Right now you have no obligation to pick a team to win this week, or the next, or the next, the only obligation Nicks and the selectors have is to make sure the club is doing what's best for them long term, now, if they think ( obviously ) picking Gibbs is best for them long term then pick him, my view and that of plenty of others I'm sure is it's a wasted opportunity to see what someone else has to offer.

I never said the club were making choices based on media, fans and trolls.
I said you have to have balance which is what they are doing.
These kids don't learn by going out and getting smashed week in week out. They need some experienced players out there helping them learn.

The North statement said that they know Brown has personal issues but he was omitted due to his form

He could've won the game for them if Shittard didn't stuff it up for him, but him and his 11 disposals stay.

By that rational why not drop everyone who isn't going to play in the next premiership window. Let the side get smashed by 100 points every game and scar the kids that are in there. Carlton tried that and 3 rebuilds later they still aren't any better off (and are getting more out of their recycled players than the kids this year). At this stage especially for the guys in the side I'd argue a win is a lot more important than playing a bunch of 18 year olds. The confidence on so many of the guys is shot you can see it in their body language, a few wins would lift everyone.

Wilson 25, Poholke 22, McHenry 20 are all out of the side. At a stretch McHenry isn't even a kid.
