And Zac Merrett told the ump too, said “ you are having a mare”, and got knocked off 50 metre penalty!

Surely it can’t be a 50 for saying that??

As most know, I hate Essingdumb but my god, the game has gone mad. We have to do something to stop this nonsense.

Stop going, stop watching, cease memberships. That's the only way the RAFL will get the hint that something is REALLY wrong with 'our' game.

I don’t mind the theory the ump was trying to use, but he got it badly wrong. McGrath and Lyons both had hands on the ball going through a show of strength to claim possession, so McGrath never had sole possession as such. Terrible call, but there were plenty against the Bombers last night - I have no love for them but they were noticeably stitched up

Nice to finally kick off a round tipping 4 out of 4, hoping my usual form turns things around today since I picked the Crows and the Eagles.

And that's just one game......

After a boring game North v Hawthorn Clarko whinges about holding the ball and this is why the game is ugly...
...next week every team (except Hawthorn because as you know the umpires aren't influenced by that sort of thing) gets pinged for going for the ball
Geelong stitched up against Collingwood
Adelaide and St Kilda guessfest. Players, coaches, commentators...no one knew what was going on. St Kilda complain...
..next week Port stitched up against St Kilda
Port complain....
...next week Melbourne stitched up against Port
Essendon stitched up against Brisbane

The deliberate rule doesn't encourage players to pick up the ball
The holding the ball doesn't encourage players to pick up the ball
The advantage rule is so badly applied that whenever it is whistled (and why are we the only code that does that for advantage calls) it usually results in a turnover with the team supposedly having the advantage giving it back to the team that sweats on the opposition. Advantage has been SHIT all season long. The current panel has ZERO feel for the game. A total lack of commonsense.

The rules SHOULD NOT BE TWEAKED BETWEEN ROUNDS. The umpiring has been an absolute joke this season. What's making the game ugly? The Maggots. Richmond love this shit. They can sweat on the opposition and they will give it to them. Beautiful. Hardwick is a genius.

The crows are good at putting teammates under the pump and then just standing there not getting into space providing an option/outlet.

What happened to Fogarty, sure he is slow as hell but he would crash a pack every now and then

50 metre penalty because Carlisle's throw back to McArtin was too high. It went to him on the full. **** you umpires killing the game.

Watching Majak Daw kick a goal today and watching his team mates jump on him after he kicked it, I did enjoy watching that.

Just a good piece of feel good footy for us all.
