These are the latest stats from the Dept Of Health as of 2nd August 2020 link below

4,346,382 tests
17,923 positive
208 deaths

They state less than 1% infection rate by my rough calculations less the 0.5 %

Very interesting.

How ever I do not like all the scaremongering by the MSM its sucking in too many naïve citizens.

It's a no brainer, you follow the protocols that the experts suggest, the numbers stay low.

Restrictions don't make much sense.. especially the alcohol one.

Surely we don't freak out over a couple of positives?

New restrictions for South Australia

ABC News

“We expect a very high level of compliance with these new restrictions,” Mr Marshall said.

"As of midnight tomorrow night, we will be reducing the number of people who can be at home gatherings from 50 down to 10 .

"In addition to that, as of midnight tomorrow night, we will be moving to restrict the consumption in licensed premises from the current regime to only have seated consumption . Whether that be with food or without food, seated consumption is the only model available going forward .

"I also need to make it very clear that we, because we are on high alert here in Australia and high alert here in South Australia, are looking very closely at the moment at the density arrangements for our licensed venues . We don’t have anything to announce today but we are going to be looking at this very carefully.

“We’re also going to be looking very carefully at the numbers who attend our football matches in South Australia and finally fitness studios.”

Makes heaps of sense if you work in a pub, trust me!!!
At one stage in the front bar of the pub I work at last week every single person in the pub was in the same half of a tiny room. People over 50 that frequent pubs are absolutely clueless when it comes to social distancing.
I hope this rule and that of people not sitting at bars stays around for a long long time.
Put footy crowds back to season ticket holders only too, that'll suit me nicely!

Yep, although I hope bars can still be sat at, it is evident that they need a walk up section, it's been like watching sheep get unloaded off trucks lately.

Bar staff shouldn't be subject to people sitting within 1.5 metres of them. And as you've mentioned as a patron its a pain in the arse trying to get a beer from a bar with these arseclowns sitting around the entire thing. Kill 2 birds with one stone and piss them off from the bars.

I sit at the bar so I can hear and see the racing, if they moved the screens it wouldn't bother me to sit elsewhere, I need bionic eyes to see the screens from the seated area and you can't stand up to watch the race.

Poorly set out bar, I'd drink elsewhere.
TAB area should be set up to the side or away from the bar.
Pubs that encourage people to congregate in the same area near the bar should be shut down.

Anyway, I'm off to the pub, got to love so much footy, my excuse that I have to put my tips on is working twice a week now!
