You raise how “mild” and “low risk” the virus is but you’re ripping shreds off the way it’s been handled?

What would you have liked done? Do you think quarantining and social distancing are worthwhile for such a “low risk” flu?

Corona Virus Death Toll in Victoria is now 147

Road Death Toll in Victoria for 2020 to date is now 133.

Or if you prefer - Shepherds 0; Sheep 1.

As a matter of interest do you have the road toll for this time last year?

I would expect a weak negative correlation between the virus toll and this year's toll since lockdown would see less people on the roads. Last year's road toll is independent and ought to be a better yardstick.

Yep I know what you are saying but I believe it’s actually higher for the same period 2020 v 2019. It was a terrible start to the year over here for road deaths.

Covid means, when its out of control, medical staff have to choose who to keep alive.
What a terrible decision for these people to make.

I was told when it was at its peak in italy, medical staff couldn't treat anyone over 60.

Meh its only a cold!

You missed the point. Its a choice, just like you can choose to go out or stay home and live in fear with covid. It shouldnt be a decision for government, time for people to take responsibility for their own health, do what you are comfortable with. If you want to wear a mask go for it, if you want a vaccine by all means put your faith in Bill who by the way has no medical qualifications.

Where did you get your Italian information from, any proof or does that only apply to Apache or myself?

Everyone is ultimately responsible for their own health, safety and general well being. I think we can all agree on that.

I have heard that suicides are up 100 more than same time last year.
Also, been told today from someone who works in domestic violence in Victoria that cases of domestic violence are through the roof, over double same time last year.
You would expect suicides to be up for a long time as the economic effects will linger on much longer than Covid will after a cure is found (If one is found, else it might just continue getting weaker and Peter out?)
Have we gone too far with restrictions? Maybe, maybe not
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Unlike drugs or alcohol, the libertarian argument doesn't apply here. By putting yourself at risk of catching it, you're also putting others you come into contact with at risk of catching it.
