600 test wickets to Jimmy. Unbelievable effort for a wonderfully skilled bowler.

Yep incredible effort, you have to admire his longevity and his numbers speak for themselves.

Pakistan finish at 4/187 with Babar 63* and Anderson taking 2/45 as the match finishes in a frustrating draw. England wins the series 1-0.

I wonder what are the thoughts of mal on the Test being called off with a minimum of 14.5 overs still to be bowled with England 6 wickets away from victory ???????

I'm pretty sure i know what his thoughts are and i'd agree with him.

If there were a possible 89 balls left why call the game off ?
I will have to assume that bad weather was likely to stop play ?

No bad weather Mal, just the two captains decided to call it a draw at 6.05 local time.

Cricinfo's headline read as if it was bad light that stopped play, perhaps they were being nice to the captains.

20/20 game 1
EG V PA
Eg team
Banton
Bairstow
MALan
Morgan
Ali
Billings
Gregory
Jordan
T Curran
Rashid
Mahmood

None of those players played in the 3rd test EG V PA
So none of the test players had to back up to this 20/20 game

I cant blame the PA captain for anuling the game
Dont understand why the EG captain called it off though
I could to a very sMALl extent understand if most of the test team had to play 20/20 perhaps ?

Australia 5/123 from 24 overs.
Carey's dismissal was very soft, I know Rashid is bowling well and the Aussie's can't pick him but geez giving catching practice and gifting Rashid such an easy wicket like that is very frustrating.

Mitch Marsh and Glenn Maxwell to the rescue! Both hit seventies

Aust 9/294

Poms 9/275

Pat Cummins got carted around a bit 1/74

Zampa at one stage had 2/5 and was bowling so tightly until Bairstow decided to hit out

Billings 118 for the Poms

Just checked the score and after turning off last night and not holding much hope I can't believe we won! Marsh and in particular Maxwell both delivered in the same match, you could call that a miracle. They put on 126 for the sixth wicket.

Billings makes 100 and England still lose. Hazlewood at his miserly best with 3/26, importantly he got Roy and Root cheaply and Zampa 4/55, most importantly he got Buttler cheaply with assistance from Labuschagne who took an excellent catch.

The second ODI between England and Australia was played in Manchester overnight and England won by 24 runs.

England 9/231 (50)
Morgan 42 (52)
Root 39 (73)
England were 8/149 before Tom Curran (37 from 39) and Rashid (35 from 26) put on 76 for the ninth wicket.
Zampa 3/36
Starc 2/38

Australia 207 (48.4)
Finch 73 (105)
Labuschagne 48 (59)
Woakes 3/32
Archer 3/34
Australia went from 3/144 when Marnus was dismissed to 9/176 losing 6/32 and within that lost 4/3 and then 3/10.

I watched the start of the match and some of the end this morning, Carey could hardly hit it off the square as him and Hazlewood tried to scrap towards England's total.
