The work they are doing from a social media perspective is excellent.

Hahaha - Certainly not David, but I didn't think anyone can argue with the good work they have done so far.

You are right, they've done really well.
They rang a few curators to see when would be the earliest we could get away.
Smart.
If the afl grand final is on the 17th October its going to be hard to concentrate on a cricket game.
Maybe a night grand final would help that situation?

AFL Grand Final is currently scheduled for a twilight start on Oct 24th, and ATCA have scheduled a noon start for a T20 game on that day so everyone will be done by 3, ready for the final at 5:30.

With that said, I wouldn't be shocked to see the AFL GF move date.

Gday folks, G jr is looking at playing Under 10s this season, and we are currently assessing clubs/comps.

Thoughts on the ATCA junior setup?

With the AFL GF now on 24/10/2020 - huge chance that the first 20/20 gets moved and R1 becomes a 2 day game on 10 & 17 of October

In my opinion the fixture will remain as announced.

T20s on October 10th were scheduled because of concerns with limited grounds being able to get a pitch up after the Adelaide Footy League extended their season 3 weeks. This is still the case no matter when the AFL Grand Final is.

There is a second T20 scheduled for the 24th, noon start, done by 3:15, so everyone can then go to their respective AFL GF parties.

I agree, I think the fixture will remain as is. Personally, I think we will look at either changing the date of the 24th T20 to the Tuesday evening or start as early as possible on the 24th to accommodate the players who like to make a day of the AFL GF.

With only 70ish teams play T20 (vs the usual approx 170 on a saturday), I suspect there will be enough players keen for a hit to make it work still.
Also, I suspect a number of clubs will contact their opponents and look to move the game if they are struggling to get players available.
With that said, a Tuesday in october won't provide enough light. So perhaps a sunday fixture following the Saturday game on the 17th?

For the main Saturday comps or the 20/20 comps

The main comps have been published on the ATCA facebook page and my understanding is the 20/20 comps are at ATCA's discretion -

T20 comp I understand they have 70 teams nominated and want two more so they can split into even groups of 4 for the round robin games.

Bingo, went to the info night, he'll start training next week I believe. Actually will be U/12s, misses the Sep 1 cutoff by about 3 months.

I understand they were due to be released in the next fortnight, however with the AFL Granny moving to a night game the board are now considering shuffling the dates a little which might require a tweak of the fixtures.
I understand Monday night's AGM there will be discussion and confirmation of any changes and fixtures to follow from there.
