Saints and Geelong probably take the biggest bows for exceeding expectations with 3 and 4 games in Melbourne respectively.
Lions and Port had obvious favourable draws to finish top 2, Ports first real test will be Collingwood in round 18 @ the GABBA, win that and then a GF is well and truly on the cards.
Collingwood and the Dogs are hard to be judged upon given the circumstances, both teams still have the window open IMO.
GWS flopped, something is wrong out there, you can't have that much talent and be so piss poor at times.
Carlton, Freo and the Suns would probably accept their win ratio's, they're all getting games into kids and going through the building process.
Carlton would have to be impressed with their close game record, five of their wins were 1,2,7,4 & 5 point margins, three of their losses were 1,3 & 9 point margins, they'll make the 8 next year if it's a proper season.
It's hard to work out who the biggest underachievers were, Essendon looked the goods early, we're never used of seeing Hawthorn struggle and North were 2-0 with a win on the road against the Giants.
Sydney probably a B-, 5 wins with a depleted squad, you'd take it but probably try and turn the - into a + before showing mum.
Adelaide were always gonna be poop, they saved a bit of grace last night.

You have Port catching up 14% on Geelong despite losing one more game?

The historic game at the Gabba is to be held on Saturday, October 24 and, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be the first time the Toyota AFL Grand Final is both held at night and outside of Victoria.
AFL executive general manager clubs and broadcasting Travis Auld said the 6.30pm bounce provided the industry with the greatest scope to maximise the advantages of the night timeslot.
