I agree with all that except Kane.
I’d have Wilson, Pickett, Wakelin and Lade all in front of Kane.

Kane's post football life has clearly clouded people's memories of his on field ability. One of the first truly elite endurance athletes in the modern era, his professionalism drove the training culture at Port off field for many years, he was the bench mark many aspired too in terms of physical preparation and that drove the club to the ultimate prize.

His ability to shut down some of the all time greats, when you run with Cousins, Judd, Voss, Buckley, Harvey, Black, Akermanis, Crawford etc etc and do it for 300 games because you do it well, that's some effort.

Wilson, he's in the discussion for pure grit, nobody tougher. Although I think Jonas shows as little regard for his own safety at times as Wilbur did, both of them are wrecking balls.

Pickett, we probably got the best of him, but he only played 55 games for Port, same reason I don't have Schulz in my list.

Wakelin, I think Paxman and Mead were every bit the defender Wakes was.

Lade, could mount a case for him to be listed above, fair call.

No mate, none at all.

With Westhoff retiring that's 5 spots on the list gone so perhaps one or two more might be on the cards.

Frederick and Patmore told to go home aswell so you would think that they are in danger of being cut.

List spots possibly cut by 4 for next season every club will be tossing out the deadwood

Well done to Westhoff on his career, always admired him as he got the best if not more out of his ability. Seems a good bloke too.

We'll keep Frederick as a Cat B, perhaps pick Patmore up as a rookie if we delist him.
