Barring Kelly, I’m taking LDU before the others.

Naughton will be a superstar

North are heavily into Saad from what I hear. Can’t see Essendon coughing up what he is chasing

Clubs go through drafts and drafts searching for big blokes that can take a mark and kick goals. North find one and treat him like this. I'm dumbfounded.

Does he take a big mark or just on the lead?

Key forward needs to have more than one “trick”, Walker is the same.

Brown will be 28 at the start of next season (he is older than I thought)

He will not be around when North are contending again, I have zero doubts a club will offer him a good deal and North will be adequately compensated.

Collingwood/Brisbane possible suitors

The sad thing is if Daniher leaves I could see us chasing Brown which would be a huge mistake IMO

We are years away. The members and fans all know it but the fools running the club have their heads so far up each other’s arses they can’t see it

I completely disagree. You need a mix. Having a hit up forward is great and it provides you with something to build and recruit around. The guy has kicked 180 goals in three years.

Something most teams would cry out for.

I suppose North will trade for a 'gun mid' then having nothing to kick to going forward?

No, I'm just arguing that it's ridiculous to think they would (as Brod would have us believe)

Brown and the Roos part ways ;)

From AFL.com

NORTH Melbourne has officially placed Ben Brown up for sale after telling its four-time leading goalkicker to seek a new home.

The out-of-contract key forward had been in talks with the Roos earlier in the season about re-signing but knocked back a three-year offer in pursuit of an extra season.
In his exit meeting last Friday, coach Rhyce Shaw formally told Brown to seek options elsewhere.

"It's not a decision we've made lightly as Ben has been a tremendous part of our club since 2014," Roos head of football Brady Rawlings said in a statement.

"It was a very honest discussion. Ben was very mature and understood our decision.

"We will work with Ben and his management to secure a mutually beneficial outcome."

Brown kicked 63, 61 and 64 goals in each of the seasons from 2017-2019 but was reduced to eight goals in nine matches this season after a tough year in which he battled personal tragedy, a knee injury and poor form.

Probably shouldn't have knocked back the 3 years @ $750k pa that was on the table in March.
