Your correct Groucho. I wonder what the clubs are thinking atm They had a fair backlash against them but they needed the money.
No 4000 spectators, probably lucky it was 400. The money from the Crows was ok and swayed them. In addition revenue from playing Crows matches at away grounds.
PA offered nothing and played all their home games at Alberton so the clubs didn't even get the benefit of an extra home game and revenue.

Both Crows & Power broke their contract with the SANFL this year. The comp has not been any worse without them (apart from clubs missing out on the money from the Crows). Perfect time to get rid of them.

Hopefully Jackson Hately for Centrals.

IF the Crows trade for him, IF the Crows not in the SANFL and IF Jackson wants to play for Centrals. Fingers Crossed. Let it be so.

While it would be good, could one of the unintended consequences be that we no longer have SANFL on Free-to-Air telly?

Doesn't the SANFL pay for it anyway. No loss but if the stations want it they will keep up with it. Its a good lead in to AFL matches on C7.
If they say it doesn't rate we still have digital pass.

I'd rather the league had integrity than TV coverage, if that's what it comes to.

If he comes back, Poppy might be a good pickup for Norwood next year.

Which is perfectly legal.

There will be plenty more of them next year by my reckoning. Salary cap to be slashed.

If lists are to be reduced by the afl as everyone thinks surely the crows and port would be struggling to field competitive teams ( a lot of top ups required) and if they do play you would expect (I hope ) that they would be easy beats. They are only in it as training for their players anyway

Would almost guarantee that Goodrem & Jenner will retire at the end of this season.
I wouldn't think that The WCE will pursue Isaya McKenzie, after his knee injury, so I'd consider him as an IN for 2021,
The 'Dogs are on the hunt for bigger bodied players and already have 2 in their sights,
one is already here in SA & the other is in the NT, a brother of an ex-Central player that is now playing in the AFL in Qld.

Is this the same one from the NT that was thinking of coming this season?
Hopefully we can keep Jack Toner,he's been impressive.

Also a very recently delisted AFL tall who is hoping for a new AFL gig though, so lets see...
Izzy realizes that with the shortened AFL lists, the chances of getting back at the WCE is very slim.

Sam Colquhoun will play his last game for Sturt this week as he will coach Tanunda next season.

If true , that's a young retirement. Another reason why the SANFL should raise the cap .
