Richmond is the venue next week. Great ground for Kenilworth, winning its last 3 senior GF’s when played there. Hopefully we can add to that next week :)

I don't think Lockleys have won a Grand final at that venue yet?

The weather will have a big say on the result. The wet definitely favours Lockleys I reckon, the drier the better for Kenilworth.

I reckon 1993 was their last premiership in A4, and they beat West Croydon. I think maybe it was Woody Sth they played at Richmond and it was a long time ago. I coached against them back in the early 2000’s and they have always been a club I respected. I hope for Zed’s benefit he can get them the flag they have worked so hard for over a long time.

No need to be sorry. Looking forward to Saturday, match winners everywhere on both sides with strong depth. 2 of the strongest head to head match ups you’ll see at this level.

Fair enough. Lockleys, West Croydon, Woody Sth and Mitcham were all massive clashes back then. They all have history. :D

Just on this year, I’ve seen some of the best games I’ve seen in a long time In div 5 but 3 clearly standout. Our games v Salisbury, Pooraka and Lockleys in the minor rounds were all exceptional contests throughout.
- Salisbury impressed me with their structure and discipline through the match.
- Pooraka was a free flowing match with great intensity.
- Lockleys Rd 8 was just simply a great game. The first quarter in particular was the best standard I’ve seen this year.

This week will be massive!

Agreed mate, not sure we'll see the standard of the top half of Div 5 as good as it was the year for a long time to come.

Interesting fact

If Lockleys or Kenilworth win both a and b grade this weekend the ladder positions will end up like-

5th B grade Pooraka. A grade pooraka
4th B grade Salisbury. A grade Salisbury
3rd B grade CLG. A grade CLG
2nd b grade locks/ken A grade locks/ken
Premiers b grade locks/ken A grade locks/ken

this shows the top 5 have far superior depth

Aiming to get there for the A grade, time for Locks to add a new flag to the new cabinet.
