COVID UPDATE
Medical experts in Melbourne today were asked if it is time to ease the COVID lockdown.
Allergists were in favour of scratching it, but Dermatologists advised not to make any rash decisions.
Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but Neurologists thought the government had a lot of nerve.
Obstetricians felt certain everyone was labouring under a misconception, while Ophthalmologists considered the idea short-sighted.
Many Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while Paediatricians said, "Oh, grow up!"
Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while Radiologists could see right through it.
Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing and pharmacists claimed it would be a bitter pill to swallow.
Plastic Surgeons are keeping abreast of the situation.
Dentists are down in the mouth but they think they we will get to the root of the problem
Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.
Anaesthetists thought the whole idea was a gas, and those lofty Cardiologists didn’t have the heart to say no.
In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in politics.
You cant change your past but you can sure hell shape you future

Clubs SA update..

Standing Drinking
If a club provides an outside area such as a beer garden that mirrors the hospitality activities conducted inside the club; ie the club has a seated outdoor dining area where meals are served, then seated consumption of food and beverages (alcoholic and non alcoholic) is necessary.

If a club has external playing fields (eg golf courses, bowling greens, football ovals), including areas surrounding those playing fields that provide for spectating, the participants and the people watching/supporting the participants, are permitted to stand while drinking non alcoholic beverages.

Simply put, people participating in the sport, or watching the sport outdoors, can drink water, tea, coffee, sports drinks, soft drinks etc while standing.

I know these rules have been in place for quite a while now.. but is ANYONE actually able to tell me why the **** it matters that you have to be seated, and what the difference is between drinking non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages whilst standing up?!?

People mingle and don't socially distance more often whrn drinking booze. Its a culture thing.
For eg at the footy you will quite often see groups congregate arounf or in front of bars then they will in front of the coke van.
Just like you will see more people congregating in pubs and nightclubs than you do at an OTR or local deli.

So is it to ensure social distancing or to stop them congregating at points of sale? :?

Both but mainly the first as that's harder to enforce.
Most people are like sheep,

Edit: Actually I take that back, sheep usually only congregate when they're forced to, when grazing they will quote often spread out.

Unless you're sitting on someone's lap you are pretty much social distancing anyway.

It makes for a good joke but it also makes sense.
