Yes they did, but definitely not on their own in that regard.
Not sure what thats got to do with Grimas' departure though.

All things being equal I think he would've got extended.

I think what we'll find is that with AFL ex-assistant coaches looking for work, it will come at the expense of inexperienced coaches like Grima. Which will I think, make the SANFL better for it.

In most respects I agree, but the value of a club man can't be lost, they will become vital to clubs futures and if you can land a great club man who will stick around then you're not recruiting a new coach every few years.

Will he stick around though if an AFL gig presents itself.

Keep in mind he chose the Crows gig over a lead Centrals gig only 6 months ago. If he hadn't have been sacked from the Crows he would not have had interest in us.

There's a $ difference there too, plus he's developed and the landscape is very different now.
