Rainfall seems to be dancing to the BOM's tune:

Most of that seems to be sliding way down south, might get a sprinkle in the city this afternoon, probably bucket down comes games end

Watching the game I think I'm looking at a WWT reserves side. 5 ex Eagles in the SA side plus coach.

Congrats to all the long suffering Southies, 2 wins away from breaking the drought, would be great to see.

Bays felt like they limped into the finals a bit, they’ll be back bigger and better and I’m sure.

'Gratz to the Panthers who were unequivocally the better side today. The margin flattered the Bays. Best of luck for the rest of the finals; may you break that long spell. Go Panthers!

The game was a metaphor for our season, good in patches showed what we could do if played like we did 12 months ago (quick instinctive gives to advantage, clear the contest get the ball in deep for the forwards to convert and apply pressure) but for most of the game/season we couldn’t do that and more often than not the opposite.

As Pseudo said TBH we were never really in it and our final position is an honest reflection of our season.

Who knows what 2021 will bring as some brave warriors for our club over 10 years may make well justified and earns “lifestyle decisions”
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I can’t recall a game in recent times where we have butchered the ball so much. Even when not under pressure we chose the wrong option time after time. The silly handball, constantly kicking to a 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 disadvantage. At times South almost seem to sit back & wait for us to make a mistake.
Lucky to be as close as we were at halftime. Second half we had plenty of it & dominated for periods but couldn’t score. Then South would go straight down & get one with ease. They were cleaner with the ball, pure & simple.
At the end of the day, we never really hit our straps this year. Losing 5 premiership players to the draft & retirement and then another 2 for the season through injury plus barely having Curran, took its toll. Was probably a fair effort to make the finals TBH.
Still a shit feeling knowing we’re not playing next week.

What a day beating last years premiers !

Thought our young guys really stood up today with the more senior players (who played well) not as dominant.

Horne (just turned 17 and AFL bound in 2022), Wilkinson, Sampson, McCreery, Bogle and Milsom were very good today. They are all local products of our development squads through the years.

Karpany..well, what a class act. Hardly played this year (3 games tops maybe ?) was like a secret weapon for us. Silky smooth and composed kicking 4 goals.

Just thought we wanted it more than the Bays today.

Still really pumped up tonight but now we move on to play the Eagles which will be a really hard contest.

Dare to dream........I'm starting to see something special brewing.

One week at a time...... ;)
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!
