is solid

Betts is cooked, not happy he is playing again next season

Curnow is a figure of everyones imagination....he is injury plagued project player...cant build around him now...hes gone in my opinion

Mckay wont dominate games may get 3 goals on a great day

Casbault is only still on the list cos he showed value down back. If doesnt play down back next year will do nothing up forward and be delisted

Betts well might get a few games

Have to disagree with you there. I think he has the potential to be a superstar.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Mackay (200cm) and McGovern (191) the only ones out there. Casboult would get the boot if they had depth and who knows if Curnow (191) plays much.

Might be on my pat malone, but I reckon Casboult is more useful than he gets credit for

I agree. I'd be moving on Gov before rocking the Casboult.

Moore re-signed at Collingwood for 2 years on around $800k a year.
Think their cap space would be quite tight now

I think Cuningham could be a good small'ish crumbing forward. We need to keep him on the park!

I'd keep Cas over Gov but Cas would only have one maybe two years left in him. If it were a choice between De Goey and Gov, I'd def take De Goey but at what price?

McKay will be star IF someone can sort his kicking out AND we start kicking the ball TO HIM not bombing it in and hoping he'll take big pack marks. His goalkicking technique leaves me astounded! He waddles in with no purpose and drops his right shoulder as he kicks causing the ball to predominantly go right.

Early Essendon suggestions :

The Age reports Essendon’s first claim for an even trade included swapping Saad for one of Charlie Curnow, Harry McKay or Sam Walsh.

Their second hardly lowered the bar.

The Bombers reportedly asked for emerging ruckman Tom De Koning and the Blues’ No.8 pick in this year’s draft.

Cringeworthy but we knew it was coming.
Carlton apparently offered pick 27 which is not enough so the negotiating will continue. I’d say a pick in the teens would be done in 5 minutes when we stop playing games

I read somewhere that we could get him a la Jack Martin. So in that case, we would have the upper hand? I'm actually happier if we missed out on Saad than Williams so I wouldn't want to give up too much for him. Draft pick or a future pick but no players. We still need to maintain depth.

And yes, it was an ambit claim by Essendumb but good on them for trying.

Sad for both of them.
Without injuries Scharenburg would easily be in our best 22.

If he leaves it’s Geelong or Adelaide

How can Geelong fit him under its cap? Guess Ablett will retire?

Wouldn't claim to be an expert on player wages but I thought Gaz isn't on big coin at Geelong. We got Danger for less than market value and I thought Sel was still our highest paid player. Maybe Hawkins on decent coin but we aren't the team of superstars we were a decade ago. The Cats have had their eye on Cameron for awhile now so there must be some wriggle room.

Back ended deal with funds that will become available via retirements of Ablett, Selwood, Taylor, Henderson, possibly even Dangerfield and Hawkins in the not too distant future?
