Is anyone else already sick of hearing players pick/demand where there going to play

This season isn’t over already, I don’t have the answer but the system is broken when 2 year career players can put pressure on clubs and pretty pick their own destination

I’m sick of the media reporting on it every 5 minutes.
Has it happened in previous years but not known?
Seems the media report on everything these days that use to be kept in house at a footy club.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

How bad must things be at GWS when blokes are requesting a trade to Essendon?

Fantasia has nominated Port.
Even though he has a year to run on his contract he still should be pretty cheap

Out of contract so I guess he can name his destination club. Doesn’t mean he will get there

I think it's fair enough, they don't get to choose where they go when they enter the business, we all get to pick and choose where we want to be employed whether it be money driven, location or job satisfaction/security.

I think it's somewhat unfair for a kid who's grown up in Geelong, barracked for Geelong all his life, worked hard at his footy skills and then hits 18 and ends up at Freo for a few years, then gets ridiculed for wanting to go back to be with his family and friends that he grew up with.

Yes they get compensated well but it can be bloody tough for a kid.

Reported on SEN Breakfast this morning:

Garry Lyon read out the latest trade news from his ‘8:30am’ insider on SEN Breakfast this morning.

The report suggested St Kilda and Adelaide struck an agreement as part of Brad Crouch’s decision to join the Saints in free agency.

That deal will see the Crows take on a pair of Saints players to give salary cap relief and allow St Kilda to pay Crouch enough to grant Adelaide top-bracket compensation.

“St Kilda and the Crows got together for a deal RE: Brad Crouch to ensure Adelaide gets compensation pick number two,” Lyon read on SEN Breakfast.

“The thought is the money was not high enough to give him the compensation.

“Initially the Crouch money fell under the compensation to make it happen, so the Saints bumped up his wage to get the average over $700,000, originally $550,000, which wasn’t enough.

“In turn, the Crows will take both Jimmy Webster and Luke Dunstan in exchange for a set of steak knife, late draft choices.

“The Crows are taking them off St Kilda’s salary cap, hence the upgrade for Crouch and pick two.”

Webster, 27, did not play a game for the Saints in 2020, while Dunstan played one before a season-ending pectoral injury.
“Think of me like Yoda, but instead of being little and green I wear suits and I'm awesome. I'm your bro—I'm Broda!”

Smart by both parties but it’s legalised draft tampering no matter how the AFL spins it

The AFL tend to turn a blind eye to it.
I’d guess we will do similar with Brisbane over Daniher

Just so I’m clear, are Adelaide just paying them or are they going to be traded to Adelaide for a late pick?

Pretty sure that's exactly what Adelaide and Geelong did with Dangerfield.

Adelaide would have got pick 13, they finished 7th in 2015, as the compensation pick for Dangerfield.

Instead Geelong gave them pick 9, 35 and Dean Gore for Dangerfield and pick 50 so Adelaide got better compensation and the move was smoother.

Traded to Adelaide so they get off of the St Kilda books.
