Used to be seeing the shacks once you're over the last hill before Fisherman's Bay, we had the 2nd shack in so we didn't even have to travel through the town, we'd literally jump out the car running and head straight over to see if the tide was in or out.

Im getting used to that in the new town, people probably think I am rude bastard.

The old wave isn't done in Clare or Blyth where we were living but is definitely still done in Spalding.

January can’t come quick enough.

similar when i was a kid. grandparents had a shack at ardrossan (well, tiddy widdy). when we got close to turning off down the dirt road was a great feeling. even the dog would wake up from sleeping on top of all the stuff in the back of the wagon and get excited

Got my first outing with people from the new town coming up in Mid November.

The Clare races is on, its $40 includes bus from Spalding to Clare and back, ticket into the races and all the alcohol you could possibly drink for the day.

Not sure how its possible at that price but anyway im looking forward to breaking my self appointed drinking ban and get out and be social with the partner for a day.
