Brisbane upped their offer to $2.5m over 3 seasons which is just enough to trigger Band 1.
Saints are only offering about $600k a year.

Wonder what happened to taking Dunstan off their hands?
When is St Kilda's 1st pick? I dont think they will trade for him, their 1st pick will be required for Caldwell form GWS.
The Crows are going to be stuck with a player who doesnt want to be there.
Once the Crows match the offer can another club put in an offer to Crouch?

Caldwell has nominated us mate.
I’d think the Crows and Saints will now get cracking on some kind of trade or he stays at the Crows

We dont need Cameron. If Menegola goes, I will be pissed. Just had his best season. A consistent reliable contributor.

I could understand why they got Smith with his run and carry as he could be an attacking half back but it's now seeming they just got him as a winger to replace Menagola. ******* pisses me off. Throw in that geriatric from north Melbourne too. ****!!!!!
So you've seen everything have you?

I would never match an offer of a free agent, creates a shit culture I believe, knowing you have a team mate that doesn't really want to be there. I would take the compensation and move him on.

It’s all just a game. In GWS’s case the compo was never enough and they know the Cats will do anything to get him so will absolutely pay through the nose.
In Crouch’s case I don’t sense that the Saints want him at all costs and could be prepared to walk away.

fair enough, Caldwell only chose you after Crouch picked Saints didnt he? All the talk was Saints 1st.
SAaints might forget Crouch if they need to give up a pick and go back to trying to get Caldwell

Possible that the Saints try to convince him to change his mind if Crouch falls over or maybe they look at Treloar

Stupid part is 23 for Crouch is probably just unders, or about right in some people's view, pick 2 is way, way overs and if St Kilda aren't willing to give up pick 15 for him them 23 is market value, as is the $550-600k x 4 years + 1.

The market looks to be bang on the money.

Lol, you have courted him for years and the Kelly trade was in preparation for this. It’s a done deal that he ends up at Geelong, they are too far down the track to turn around
